The REET Eligibility Criteria 2024 will be released by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education. In September 2024, the REET Application Process 2024 will start. The government has recently declared an age relaxation for candidates who fall under the EWS category, regardless of gender. REET Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

The qualifications for applicants hoping to teach in Rajasthan are outlined in the REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers) eligibility criteria. A bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or an equivalent degree from an accredited university is required of applicants. Moreover, those who are in their last year of a B.Ed. are welcome to apply. Meeting the age requirements established by the government of Rajasthan is necessary. Fulfilling these requirements guarantees that applicants are eligible to sit for the REET exam and seek employment as teachers in the state.

REET Educational Qualification for Classes I-V: (Primary Stage):

Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR

Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

Graduation with B.Ed passed from recognized university (Revised Eligibility Criteria)

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with Diploma in Elementary Education from NIOS(Revised Eligibility Criteria)

REET Educational Qualification for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):

Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

Graduation or post-graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

OR

Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year in B.A. /B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.

Graduation or Post Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year B.Ed. (Special Education).

The NCTE Notification No. F.No. NCTE-Reg/012/22/2019-US(Regulation)-HQ has been amended. dated November 13, 2019 “A minimum of 50% in graduation, post-graduation, and B.Ed.” “Provided that minimum percentage of marks in graduation shall not be applied to those incumbents who had already accepted admission to the Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education or an equivalent course prior to the 29th July 2011,” the following proviso was introduced.

REET Qualifying Marks 2024

A candidate is said to have passed the TET exam if they receive a score of 60% or higher. The minimum Educational Qualification for eligibility may be relaxed by up to 5% for candidates who fall under reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently Abled.

REET Eligibility Criteria 2024

The weighting of the REET exam marks has been enhanced in the REET Teaching Recruitment Examination. In the past, the candidates’ academic standing accounted for 30% of the total weight , and the REET marks accounted for just 70%. It is currently translated to 90:10.

REET Certificate Validity

The validity of the REET Exam certificate is now indefinite. After passing the Rajasthan entrance exam test (REET), candidates will be qualified for the subsequent round of selection for the duration of their eligibility, which is determined by their exam result. The REET certificate had a three-year validity period previously.
