AFCAT 2 2024 Exam Schedule
Three days will be dedicated to the AFCAT 2 2024 Written Examination. Two shifts will be worked in a single day. There will be six shifts to finish the written exam in its entirety. AFCAT Exam Day Guidelines
The applicant must have fulfilled the required ageCandidates ought to abide by all the rules that the IAF has set forth. Applicants have to be at the testing location on time. To ensure entry during the pre-exam verification phase, candidates for the first shift should be at the center no later than 8:00 hrs for shift I and 13:00 hrs for shift II.

Age Limit
The applicant must have fulfilled the required age threshold for the AFCAT exam in order to be eligible to join the Indian Air Force. In the AFCAT, the minimum age for men and women is twenty years old, while the maximum age is 26.
For Flying Branch
- Candidates between the ages of 20 and 24 who are men or women are eligible for the flying branch.

AFCAT 2024 Syllabus
The applicant must have fulfilled the required age. There are a total of 100 questions on the online Air Force Common Admission Test. The AFCAT syllabus should be known to the applicant prior to submitting the exam form. The AFCAT Exam consists of four sections in total.
- English section- Comprehension, cloze test, synonyms and antonyms, idioms and phrases, and error spotting.
- General Knowledge– Indian History, Polity, Economics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Current Affairs.
- Reasoning section – Series, Venn diagrams, syllogism, blood relations, non-verbal and verbal reasoning, and military aptitude.

AFCAT 2024 Selection Process
The applicant must have fulfilled the required age. Candidates must arrive at the exam centre no later than 08:00 hrs for shift-I and 13:00 hrs for shift-II, as entry will not be allowed once the pre-exam verification begins.All candidates who pass the AFCAT 2 2024 exam, the first round of the AFCAT selection process, will receive call letters from the Indian Air Force inviting them to come for the AFSB Testing, the second round of selection. There are two phases to the AFSB Testing.
AFSB Interview Day 1
The applicant must have fulfilled the required ageIt consists of the Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PP&DT) and the Officer Intelligence Rating Test. Candidates who fail this level, which serves as a screening test, will not be permitted to move on to level 2.
AFSB Interview Day 2-
It is more comprehensive and involves several tests.
- After clearing Stage 1, candidates proceed to Psychological Tests, where psychologists administer written assessments to evaluate different psychological traits.
- Following that, candidates undergo Group Tests, which include both mental and physical tasks to assess them on various criteria.
- The AFSB Interview is then conducted by an interviewing officer to determine the candidate’s suitability for an Air Force career. Those applying for the Flying Branch must also take the Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) Test.
Medical Test
The applicant must have fulfilled the required ageCandidates who make it through the screening process then appear for a medical exam at the Air Force Central Medical Establishment (AFCME) or the Institute of Aviation Medicine in Bengaluru. Following that, a final list is created based on each candidate’s performance in the written test and AFSB interviews. The people on this list will get letters of acceptance to the training institutes of their choice. Their journey in the Indian Air Force has just begun.
