BPSC 70th Eligibility 2024
The eligibility criteria for the 70th BPSC Civil Services Examination in 2024 are as follows:
- Education Requirement: Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the UGC.
- Age Criteria: Candidates applying for the 70th BPSC Prelims must be between 21 and 37 years old as of August 1, 2024. there is age relaxation for Other Backward Classes (OBC) are eligible for a relaxation of up to 3 years, while Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) can benefit from a relaxation of up to 5 years. Additionally, women candidates age relaxation is up to 5 years.
BPSC Selection Process
The selection process for the BPSC 70th exam includes three stages provided below:
- Preliminary Examination: Candidates are required to appear for the preliminary examination. This is an objective exam and doesn’t account in the final merit list. Those who qualify will advance to the next stage and appear for the mains exam.
- Main Examination: Qualified candidates from the preliminary exam will take the main examination, which is a written examination and will have 4 papers of General Studies, it is important for candidates to score well in this exam as it will be accounted while preparing the final merit list.
