BPSC 70th Selection Process
There are various important phases in the BPSC Selection Process for 2024. Initially, candidates need to pass the multiple-choice Preliminary Exam. After passing the preliminary exam, candidates move on to the main exam, which consists of written assessments and a Hindi qualifying paper. BPSC 70th Exam Pattern 2024
The Bihar PSC has changed the pattern of the Prelims and Mains exams. To prepare for the 70th Combined Competitive Exam (CCE), check the BPSC Exam Pattern. The BPSC Exam Pattern has important changes:
- The BPSC Prelims Exam will consist of a maximum of 150 marks.
- Each of the correct answers will be awarded 1 mark.
- 70th BPSC Prelims will be objective and negative marking will be done, one-third (1/3) of the mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- The BPSC Mains Exam has been updated to include 4 papers: GS I, GS II, Essay, General Hindi.
- The General Hindi paper is qualifying in nature and carries 100 marks.
- The candidates will be assessed based on a total of 900 marks, considering the scores from GS I, GS II, and the Essay Paper
BPSC Prelims Exam Pattern 2024
The purpose of the preliminary test administered by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is to evaluate candidates’ knowledge and skills. There is one General Studies paper on this test, with 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The preliminary test has two hours allocated to finish it, with one mark assigned to each question.
