CDS Salary During Training Period
The CDS salary is established by a set pay scale that considers rank, experience, and work obligations in order to offer fair compensation. After clearing the CDS exam, candidates can train at the Air Force Academy (AFA), Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), or Officers Training Academy (OTA). Throughout their training, students are given a fixed monthly stipend of INR 56,100 in accordance with the 7th CPC’s recommendations.

Military Service Pay (MSP)
Military Service Pay (MSP) is an additional amount included in the salary of officers in the Indian Armed Forces.
- For officers with ranks ranging from Lieutenant to Brigadier, the monthly bonus payment (MSP) is INR 15,500.
- MSP is available to officers with grades ranging from Lieutenant to Brigadier, which includes Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel, and Brigadier.
- MSP for the Indian Armed Forces was suggested by the 6th Pay Commission.
- The 7th Pay Commission made MSP available to all ranks, including brigadiers and their equivalents.
