The SSC has started the SSC CGL 2024 Examination process. A total of 17,727 candidates will be hired for combined graduate-level positions this year. SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2024
The Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination is administered by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in two stages, Tier-1 and Tier-2. The SSC CGL Tier-2 test will be administered in three phases: Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3. The SSC CGL Tier-1 exam is objective in nature.
Paper I (mandatory for all positions), Paper II (for applicants seeking Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) positions in the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation), and Paper III (for applicants seeking Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer positions) are the three required papers. SSC CGL 2024 Exam Stages- Highlights
The following steps must be completed by applicants for the SSC CGL 2024 Exam:
Tier 1: Computer-based exam with objective-style questions; 0.50% of the score is deducted. The purpose of this paper is qualification.
Tier 2: This computer-based exam, which comprises of two sessions and multiple modules, also covers DEST for the DEO post.
Note: The descriptive paper was eliminated from the exam stages the previous year.
SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2024 Tier 1
There are 100 questions in total on the SSC CGL Exam Pattern Tier-1, with a 200 maximum score. While the SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam is used to make the final selection, the SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam serves as a qualifying exam. Tier 1 of the SSC CGL Exam Pattern lasts for 60 minutes. There are four sections of the SSC CGL Exam Pattern Tier-I, each containing 25 questions and a possible score of 50. SSC will handle normalization in the event that an exam is administered over many shifts.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2024 Tier 2
Candidates will appear for the SSC CGL Tier 2 after passing the SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam. Three phases will comprise the SSC CGL Tier-2 exam: Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3. Paper II is for candidates who apply for the positions of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, and Paper III is for candidates who apply for the positions of Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer. Important Points:
- It is necessary for candidates to pass all of Paper I’s parts.
- With the exception of Module-II of Paper-I’s Section-III, Tier-II (Paper I, Paper II, and Paper III) will be composed of multiple-choice, objective type questions.
- With the exception of the English Language and Comprehension module in Section II of Paper I, the questions will be set in both Hindi and English.
