SSC GD Exam Pattern 2025 Revised
Candidates should be aware of the SSC GD exam pattern before they compete in the SSC GD Constable Exam. The CBT will form the basis for the GD exam. Four categories comprise the questions: Basic Mathematics, General Knowledge & General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and English or Hindi, depending on the candidate’s choice.
Twenty questions from each area will be asked. Candidates will receive two marks for each correctly answered question, and they will lose.25 marks for each incorrectly answered question. Examinees have one hour to finish the test. The salient features of the SSC GD Exam Pattern are outlined here.
- The Written Exam is conducted online and is an MCQ Paper.
- Time Duration: 1 Hour
- 0.25 marks will be deducted against every question attempted wrong.
- The exam consists of 4 sections with 80 questions in total for 160 Marks.

SSC GD Constable Physical Efficiency Test
After passing the written exam candidates need to appear for the physical efficiency test (PET). All the candidates need to pass the PET exam otherwise their candidature will be cancelled.

SSC GD Constable Physical Standard Test
Candidates who pass the written exam candidates need to appear for the physical standard test (PST) along with the PET exam. The candidate who fails to qualify for the PST their candidature will be cancelled.
